This Week’s Drink: The Deep Throat

Posted by Tiki Denny on Jan 12, 2010 in Drinks

Who comes up with these names?

A deep throat is served in a shot glass and consists of:

  • 1/2 oz Kahlua
  • 1/2 oz Bailey’s Irish Cream
  • 1/2 oz whipped cream

Pour Kahlua into the shot glass, followed by the Irish Cream.  If you want to get fancy, pour the Irish Cream over the back of a spoon to make it float on top.  Add whipped cream.

This drink is deceptively sweet, and even though it doesn’t seem like a lot, will sneak up on you.

Drink of the Week: 1st Edition

Posted by Tiki Denny on Jan 5, 2010 in Drinks

I’m going to start trying to post a drink of the week, every week.  We’ll see how that goes.  They aren’t all going to be Tiki drinks, just drinks enjoyed in the Tiki Bar.  For our first drink, it’s the one we’ve enjoyed the most lately:  The Red Headed Slut.  Not a very flattering name, but a great drink.  If all you have heard are bad things about Jagermeister, don’t be scared, the peach schnapps and cranberry juice blend with it very well.

  • 1 oz peach schnapps
  • 1 oz Jagermeister
  • cranberry juice

Mix in a rocks glass.  Enjoy.
